The Seeker, as a food retailer, offers bakery products produced in its store ovens. Each store has a defined daily production plan, although it is not always adhered to by the responsible parties.
Given this issue, Seeker aims to find a tech solution that ensures all batches planned in the daily production schedule are completed, preventing shortages and enabling each store to operate at maximum capacity.
Eco-alternative to plastic bags
The Seeker, as a food retailer, aims to find a more sustainable alternative for this product. The solution should enable the retailer to replace the current option (plastic bags for packaging fruits and vegetables) being open to new concepts, business models, or technologies.
Check-out times in convenience stores
Our convenience stores have long check-out times. In our convenience stores, payment is made at tills assisted by an operator (there are no self-checkout tills).
Our aim is to identify ideas or solutions that will enable us to reduce customer check-out time
Creating value for social moments
There are various social occasions/events such as moments of celebration, the moment to watch series ("Netflix and chill") or the moment to watch soccer with friends that are being exploited by brands to increase their sales. FMCG brands are creating strategies to associate their products with these moments and last-mile companies like Glovo are exploiting these moments by creating promotional baskets.
Non-food products into convenience store
Today, Seeker's hypermarkets have a complete range of non-food products that consumers value.
However, in the convenience stores there are very little in the way of non-food products, and this offer is little explored in this type of store.
Seeker specializes in food retail, offering a wide range of food products such as fresh produce, food and beverages, but also non-food products such as beauty and hygiene products, household cleaning, technology and appliances, health and wellness, animals, toys and video games, stationery and bookstores, home and garden, automotive and DIY and sports.
Next-gen convenience stores
Seeker has a number of proximity stores located in urban areas/residential zones where it wants to explore opportunities that are close to the company's current activity and that are in line with the company's current territory.

This Scouting Challenge seeks a partner or supplier to provide systems or expertise to solve the Seeker’s business challenge; the Solver is invited to submit a written proposal to be evaluated by the Seeker.
Seeker is a multinational company operating in the food retail sector, with convenience stores and large-scale stores selling food and non-food products to the end consumer.
